About this guide: This guide sets out important information on how to use UkayPH, which is an online peer-to-peer marketplace to buy and sell second-hand items in the Philippines. Please read it carefully before you get started.

3. About UkayPH Services
Overview: UkayPH allows registered individuals to buy and sell second-hand items to each other.
Hosting: We act as an intermediary between buyers and sellers — we don’t buy or sell items ourselves and aren’t a party to any transactions.
Buyer Protection: UkayPH Buyer Protection is automatically applied for a fee when you buy an item using the buying button. It provides a secure escrow system where funds are held safely until the item is delivered. If it doesn’t arrive or isn’t as described, you get a full refund.
4. Requirements to use UkayPH
Who can use UkayPH: Anyone can browse our platform for free. To buy and sell, you must register an account, be at least 18 years old (or have a parent/guardian manage the account), and agree to our Terms and Conditions.
5. If you want to sell items on UkayPH
Overview: Listing items on UkayPH is free. Take and upload a photo and write an accurate description reflecting the item’s quality, condition, and any defects. Do not use photos taken from the internet. Once a buyer clicks the buying button and their payment is accepted, your item is sold.
6. If you want to buy items on UkayPH
How to buy: Click the buying button on a listed item, select your payment method and delivery option, and complete the checkout page.
Keeping your purchase secure: For every purchase made through the app, the item price, shipping fee, and Buyer Protection fee go into a separate secure escrow system until the transaction is successfully completed. Purchases made offline or outside of UkayPH are made at your own risk and are not covered by our protection.
7. How to pay for items
Ways you can pay: We offer secure payment options processed via authorized third-party payment service providers. Any available balance in your UkayPH Wallet will be utilized as your primary payment method.
8. Item ranking on UkayPH
What influences search results: Search rankings are determined by item freshness (when it was uploaded), price, brand, user engagement (views, clicks, favorites), and matching buyer preferences.
9. Writing reviews
After a transaction is completed, both buyers and sellers can leave an honest review about their transaction experience within the designated feedback window.
10. How disputes will be handled
Between Users: If you have an issue with another user regarding a transaction, please try to resolve it with them directly first. If you cannot reach a solution, you can request help from UkayPH Customer Support via the help center button on your order screen.
